Analyse your Chart of Accounts by Dimension using Account Schedules within Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central.
This blog article builds on from an earlier post explaining the use of Dimensions. Account schedules in Dynamics 365 Business Central and NAV allow us to access and report on this information within the general ledger.

In this article we follow on from setting up prepayments. We take a deep dive at how you can edit the prepayment percentage on the individual sales or purchase order using the ‘prepayment fast tab’.
Dimensions within Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central give users the ability to ‘slice and dice’ information. Dimensions allow you to assign attributes to entries, to enable you to track, analyse and report on the data within the system, in a way that is meaningful to the company. This functionality is also available if you are using NAV.
Knowing how to manage pre-payments in Business Central is important in both purchasing and sales if you require payments before a purchase order is received or a sales order is shipped. This will enable you to control your purchases and sales efficiently and improve tracking pre-payments.
