At Evolution Business Systems, we believe in Making it Happen. Not just for our clients, but for our community.

On Wednesday, 3rd September, our Melbourne team had the privilege of rolling up their sleeves and volunteering at FareShare’s Abbotsford kitchen, helping prepare nutritious meals for those doing it tough.

FareShare is a not-for-profit organisation that rescues surplus food, and grows bountiful veggies in its kitchen gardens, transforming these into nutritious meals for people experiencing hardship. With the help of dedicated volunteers, FareShare operates Australia’s largest charity kitchens in Melbourne and Brisbane, cooking thousands of wholesome meals each day to support charities, community groups, and individuals facing food insecurity.

As we worked together in the kitchen, phones off and tunes on, creating a positive and uplifting atmosphere for the whole team. This experience brought out the best in all of us and was a heart-filled experience that truly reflected our EPIC values in action. We not only contributed to an important cause but also strengthened our sense of community and shared purpose.

We are so proud of how the team worked together in making it happen. Together we:

  • Packaged 735 gluten-free pasta meals
  • Prepped 70kg of BBQ Pork for 800 meals
  • Opened 140kg of turkey mince for 1,600 meals
  • Weighed rice for 1,200 meals
  • Decanted pasta sauce for 800 meals
  • Cleaned, reset the kitchen, and folded aprons (priceless!)

Our Total Impact: Meals now nourishing people in need

In times of rising living costs and natural disasters, every meal counts and we’re proud to have played a part.

A big thank you to Chef Otis and FareShare for a great afternoon spent making a difference!
