Celebrating the quiet achievers who roll up their sleeves, give their time, and turn care into action.

At Evolution Business Systems (EBS), community isn’t a slogan—it’s one of our EPIC values. Ethics, Passion, Innovation and Community guide how we work, the choices we make, and the way we show up for others. That’s why our team members use paid volunteer days to support local charities and for‑purpose organisations.

The work you don’t always see

Volunteering is often humble, practical work—prepping meals, sorting donations, cleaning, checking, packing and lifting. It’s also deeply human. Recently, EBS team members spent a day at FareShare’s kitchen, helping prepare nutritious meals for people doing it tough. We’ve also volunteered at Our Village (formerly St Kilda Mums), making sure pre‑loved prams, cots and clothing are safe, clean and ready to find a second life with families who need them, and at RSPCA Victoria, supporting animal welfare efforts.

That behind‑the‑scenes effort matters. As one recent Our Village update described, countless volunteer tasks—like safety‑checking cots, restoring prams, and lovingly packing bundles of clothing—turn community generosity into real, tangible support for babies and children. We’re proud to play our part in that chain of care.

Why it matters to us

Our volunteer days reflect who we are as a partner to not‑for‑profit organisations: practical, caring, and mission‑focused. Beyond project work, we share knowledge freely, through user groups and blogs, because helping purpose‑driven organisations succeed is part of how we “give back” to the wider community.

Thank you, EBS volunteers

To everyone at EBS who has given time, energy and heart this year: thank you. Your efforts, often unseen, make a visible difference in our community.

Beyond One-Off Events: The Unsung Heroes

Volunteering isn’t always about a single day out—it’s often a long-term commitment that shapes communities week after week. At EBS, many of our team members quietly dedicate their evenings and weekends to roles that keep grassroots sport and community groups alive and thriving:

  • Community Sport Champions: From basketball coaches mentoring young players, to BMX commissaires ensuring safe, fair racing, these roles demand time, patience and passion. They’re the backbone of local clubs, helping kids build confidence and skills while fostering inclusion.
  • Regular Helpers: Some EBS staff regularly assist those in need—whether it’s coordinating charity drives, supporting school programs, or lending expertise to community boards. This isn’t a one-off; it’s a rhythm of giving that runs through their lives.

These commitments rarely make headlines, but they make a world of difference. They reflect the same values we live at work—Ethics, Passion, Innovation and Community—and show that giving back isn’t just something we do; it’s who we are.

How can our team get involved?

EBS offers two, fully paid volunteer days per year to support registered charities and community organisations. If your organisation needs volunteer support or has a community initiative we can amplify, we’d love to hear from you.
