What is Financial Reporting in Business Central?
The Financial Reports in Business Central are used to get insight into the financial data stored in the chart of accounts. You use account schedules to analyse figures in general ledger accounts or to compare general ledger entries with general ledger budget entries by Dimensions.
Updating the Column Layout
The column layout determines how and what numbers to display in the financial report, including the budget. When a report requires a different budget to be shown, we need to update the Column Layout.
In Financial Reporting, select the name of the Financial Report to update, select Edit definitions and Edit Column Definition.
On the Columns that relate to a Budget, select the Budget Name from the list to be the new budget.
