Managing bank reconciliations in Business Central can sometimes lead to errors that need correction. Fortunately, Business Central provides a straightforward way to undo posted bank reconciliations, allowing you to correct mistakes and ensure your financial records are accurate. Steps to undo a Bank reconciliation
You can correct mistakes in a posted bank reconciliation through the Undo action on the Bank Account Statement List page. When you use this, the posted Bank Reconciliation is re-opened where you can perform the corrections, then you can post it again.
Search for Bank Accounts from the global search icon.
Select the bank account for which you want to undo the statement.
Open the Bank Account Card page, select Bank Account and then Statement.
Select the statement for the bank account reconciliation that you want to reverse, and select Undo.
A popup message will confirm your selection. Choose Yes to continue.
The Bank Reconciliation page will appear and the bank ledger entries will be marked as open for you to reconcile again. You may now perform your corrections the bank reconciliation. Once done, click on Post.
Note: The re-created bank reconciliation automatically uses the next available Bank Statement No. If you want to use the bank reconciliation’s original statement No. you can use the Change Statement No. function which allows you to enter the number same as the canceled bank reconciliation.
